An Act to enhence the price of Salt manufactured mid sold under the orders of the Governor of the Presidency of Fort Saint George in Council.
PREAMBLE
Whereas it is expedient to enhance the price of Salt manufactured and sold under the orders of the Governor of the Presidency of Fort Saint George in Council for consumption in that Presidency; It is enacted as follows:
Section XLIII of Act No. VI of 1844 is hereby of repealed, and in lieu thereof the following Section shall be substituted (that is to say):
XLIII. The price to he paid to the Government of the Presidency of Port Saint George, for Salt manufactured and sold under the orders of the Governor of the Presidency in Council for consumption within the Territories subordinate to the same Presidency shall, from and after the passing of this Act, he one Rupee and eleven annas for every three thousand two hundred tolahs weight of Salt.
This Act shall he read with, and taken as part of, 1844 Act No. VI of 1844.
