An Actfurther to amend the Assam Local Rates Regulation, 1879.
WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Assam Regulation 3 Local Rates Regulation, 1879, hereinafter called the said of 1879. Regulation, in the manner hereinafter appearing:-
It is hereby enacted as follows:-
Short title. 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Local Rates (Amendment) Act, 194Q.
Commence- (2) It shall be deemed to have had effect as from ment . the 1st day of April, 1949.
Extent . (3) It shall have the like extent as the said Regulation. A d t 2. (ii) eight 3;nnas per acre or at the rate mentioned in section 3 whichever is higher in the case of other revenue paying land."
3. The Assam Local Rates (Amendment) Act, 1948 (Assam Act IX of 1948) is hereby repealed.
