Whereas it is expedient further to

amend the Assam P'.'tnchayati Raj. Act, ~;5~~ 19 ~3~ 1972 (Assam Act XI of 1973), hereinafter called the prjncipal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing;

It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-

ninth year of the Repuplic of India as follows

1. (1) This Act may be called th t Assam Panchayati Raj (Sixth Amendment) Act, 1978.

(2) It . shall have like extent as the principal Act.

(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of May, 1978. Amcndm ⁰

Mohkuma Parishad which is constituted
