THE ASSAM RURAL INDEBTEDNESS RELIEF (AMENDMENT)
ACT, 1976.

Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Act. Assam Rural Indebtedness Relief Act, 1975, XII01

• hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the twenty-seventh y ear of the Republic of India as follows:-

(v) any practiice performed on a farm as incidental to or in conjunotion with farm operation (including apy for- estry or timberd.ng operations) and preparation for market and delivery to storage or to market or to car- riage, for transportation of farm products.
Amendment 3. In sub-section (2) of Section 6 of the Sectio~ 6 of principal Act the words "within a period of Assam Act '4:5 days from the date on which this Act XII of 1975.comes into force put back the debtor in posses- sion of the land" occurring aHer the word
"shall" be substituted by the words "H demanded by the debtor before the expiry of 5 years or on expiry of 5 years from the date on which the debt was incurred, put back the debtor in possession of the land within a period of 30 days from the date of demand or expiry of 5 years as the case may be."
