It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-fifth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Short title 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Contingency and comm- Fund (Amendment) Act, 1974.

(2) It shall come into force at once and shall remain valid upto 31st March, 1975.
Amend~ent 2. In the principal Act, to Section 3, the following proviso of Section shall be ; dded;-

1950. Prov'ded that durin ihe period of operation of the Assam Contingency Fund (Amendment) Act, 1974, a further sum of ten crores of rup<..e, shall be paid from and out of the Consolidated Fund of the State of Assam into the Contingency Fund of Ass'lm.
The sums authorised to be paid and applied from and out of the Consolidat.::d Fund of the State of Assam by this Act shall be appropri:itcd for the services and purposes expres>ed in the Schedule in relation to the year ending on the 31st day of Mar1h, 1975 and shall be re-transferred from the Contingency Fund to the Consolidated Fund of Ail .. l on or before the 1st April, 1975.
