Act further to amend the Court Fees Act, 1870 (Act VIZ of 1870)
P ream ble.—Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Court Fees Act, 1870 (Act V II of 1870) hereinafter called the Principal Act, in its application to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
I t is hereby enacted in the Sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows: —
1. Short title , extent and com m en cem en t.—(1) This Act may be called the Assam Court Fees (Amendment) Act, 1955.
(2) I t extends to the whole of Assam . (3) It shall come into force at once. 2. A m endm ent o f Schedule II, A rticle 11.— In Clause (c) in the
Second Column in Article 11 of Schedule II to the Principal Act the words “or to the appellate Assistant Commissioner of Income-tax or to the appellate Tribunal, under Sections 30 and 33 respectively, of the Indian Income-tax Act, 1922” shall be deleted.
