· .J urther to amend the Assam Speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958.
Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Assam Speaker's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1958, herein· fg~ after called the principal Act, in the man ier herein· · after appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-first year of the Republic oflndia as foJlows:-
~~~rt ~~~- 1. ( 1) This Act may be called the Assam Speaker's mencement. Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1970.
(2) Tt shall come into force at once.
2 . For section 8 of the principal Act, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
Amendment "8. The Speaker and the members of his family of section 8 shall be entitled to such medical treatment and benefit of Assamf as may be laid down by rules to be made by the State ActXXVo G 1958

Explanatiur. .-1. For the purpose of this section the expression 'the members of his family' shall mean and include suc:b members as may be prescribed by rules.
2. Those who are entitled to free medical attendance and treatment may take the same from ariy registered physician of their choice Allophathic, Ayurvedic, Unani or Homoeopathic and medical bills on prescription of such physi c:ians are re-'imbursable."
