Whereas it is expedient fur the r to am end the l<e?u la l'f n Assam Lan d and Revenue Reg ula tion , 1886, for 1 ° 0 ’ the purpose here inaf ter appea ring ;
It is hereby enacted as follows :— 1. This Act may be called the Assam La nd and
Revenue Reg ula tion (Amendment) Act, 1943. 2. It shall come into force a t once.
3. Clauses (Z>) and (c) of section 4 of th e Assam Lan d and Revenue Reg ula tion , 1886 (hereina fter referred to as the said Regulat ion) sha ll be omi tted , and the existing clause (</) shall be re numbered as c lause (Z>).
4. To sub-section (2) of section 69 o f the said 69(2) o f R e- Regulation the following shall be added, narne- gula tio n I o f l y ;— 1886.
•‘Subject to such modifications the reo f as may be pres cribed by rules framed by the Provincial Governm ent for proceedings under the Assam Land and Revenue Regulat ion ”.
