. Whereas it is expedient to prowde for reflection of districtwise population patt- ern i:n appoint'ment in Services in Class III and Class IV posts in Government and Sem1-Government Offices in order to give proper representation o'.li various sections of the people.

Dofinitions. 2. In this Act•, unless 'the context otherwise requires,-

(d) "Class III and Class IV posts"

means posts classified as sucfi¹in the Cla- ssification o:li Services in the Resoluti'on on the Report of -Assam Pay Commission,

1 988, vide Noitification No. FPC. 24/90/1 28, daited 6th December, 1990 ;

(e) "Population Pattern" means the ratio or percentage o1i various classes 01! population itQ the total population o:ll a district 11 and , ;.,,

(f) "Reserved Categories" means persons belonging to Scheduled Castes/ - Scneduled Tribes/Other Backward Class- es/More Other Backward Classes/ Ex-Ser- vicemap/Physically Handicapped persons,
