further to amend the Assam Adminis trative Tribunal Act, 1977. .» Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam AmmActNo. Adminis trative Tribunal Act, 1977, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ; It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows

1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Administrative and Pension Tribunal (Amendment) Act, 2005.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. In the principal Act in the long utle and Short title, in between the words "Administrative" and "Tribunal" the words "and Pension" shall be inserted.
3. In the pr incipal Act, in the Preamble, in between the words
"service" and "o f ', the words "including pension matte rs"
shall be inserted.
4. In the principal Act, in section 2,-
(i) in clause (e), in sub-clause (i), in between the words
"service'* and "o f', the words "and pension matters" shall be inserted.
(ii) in clause (j), in between the words "Adminis trative" and
"Tribunal", the words "and pension" shall be inserted.
5. In the pnncipal Act, in section 3, in sub-section (1), in between the words "Administ rative" and "Tribunal" , the words "and Pension" shall be inserted.
6. In the pnncipal Act, in section 4, in sub-sect ion (1), the (lull stop) appearing at the end shall be deleted and thereafter the words "and pension matters", shall be inserted."
