NOTIFICATION
No. H. 12018/86/2011-LJD, the 5thAugust, 2011. The following Act of the Mizoram Salaries, Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker(Fifth Amendment) Act, 2011, which received the assent of the Governor of Mizoram is hereby published for general information. The Mizoram Salaries, Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker (Fifth Amendment) Act, 2011.

AN
ACT
further to amend the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker Act, 1999 (Act No.6 of 1999).
It is enacted by the Mizoram Legislative Assembly in the Sixty- second year of the Republic of India as follows :-
Short title and 1. (1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the commencement Speaker and the Deputy Speaker (Fifth Amendment) Act, 2011.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1stday of August, 2010. Amendment of 2. In Section 3 of the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Speaker and Section 3 the Deputy Speaker Act, 1999 (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act) for the words "ten thousand" the words "forty thousand" shall be substituted. Amendment of 3. (1) Clause (i) of Section 4 of the Principal Act, shall be substituted by Section 4 the following, namely - "(i) There shall be paid to the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker a Sumptuary allowance of ten thousand rupees each per mensem."

(2) Clause (ii), of the Section 4 shall be substituted by the following, namely - "(ii) There shall be paid to the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker a Family allowance of ten thousand rupees and five thousand rupees respectively per mensem and an Entertainment allowance of five thousand rupees to each of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker per mensem."
Amendment of 4. In Section 5 of the Principal Act, for the words "seven thousand", the Section 5 words "ten thousand" shall be substituted.
Amendment of 5. In Section 7 of the Principal Act, - the words "within India" shall be deleted, Section 7 and for the words and figure "Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh)," the words and figure "Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees two lakh)" shall be substituted. Amendment of 6. (l) In Para l of the Schedule to the Principal Act, the numerical with the Schedule brackets, namely "(i)" shall be deleted.
(2) In the Para 1 of the Schedule, for the words and figures, namely,
"Rs. 500/-" occurring in the fourth line and "Rs. 400/-" occurring in the fifth line, the words, namely, "one thousand rupees" and " seven hundred fifty rupees" respectively shall be substituted. P. Singthanga,
