An Act
further to amend the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Dis qualifications) Act, 1950.
Preamble .—Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam State Legislature Members (Removal of Disqualificat ions) Act. 1950 (Assam Act XIII of 1950), hereinafter called the “Pr incipal Act” , in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Eighth Year of the Republic of India a? follows
1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Assam State Legislatu re Members (Removal of Disqualifications) (Amendment) Act, 1957.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the Principal Act. (3) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment to the Schedule in the Principal Act.— In the Schedule tc the Princ ipal Act after item 10, the following shall be inserted, namely
“ 11. Any Office held in the Auxiliary Air Force or Air Defence Reserve” .
