An Act
further to amend the Societies Registration Act, 1860, zn its application to Assam.
Preamhle.-W11EREAS it is expedient further to amend the Societies RegiJtration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860). hereinafter called the Principal Act, in its aoplic:::ition to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
l. Short tide, extent and conunencernent.-(1) This Ac:t may be called the Societies Registration (Assam Fifth Amendment) Act, 1958.
(2) 1t e.xtends to the whole of the State of Assam. (3) It shall come into force with effect from 1st April, 1958. 2. Amendment of Section 19 of the Principal Act .-.Sttbstitute
the words "fifteen naye paise" for the words "two annas" in between the wor..:ls ''payment of" and "for every hundred words".
