University of Nalanda (Repeal) Act 2010

ACT
Preample :—To repeal University of Nalanda Act 2007. Government of India intends to establish Nalanda University through a Central Act . This University shall take place of the University of Nalanda established through University of Nalanda Act 2007. State Government is in agreement with it. Central Cabinet has agreed to let the Nalanda University Act 2010 to be tabled in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament on the condition that the State Government repeals University of Nalanda Act 2007. In this way,before the Parliament enacts on this subject , It is necessary that the University of Nalanda Act 2007 as enacted by the Government of Bihar be repealed .
NOW THEREFORE, be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Bihar, in the Sixty First Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title ,extent and Commencement— (1) This Act may be called University of Nalanda (Repeal) Act 2010.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of the State of Bihar.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
2. Repeal and savings—(1) University of Nalanda Act, 2007 is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, any action, proceeding or anything initiated in exercise of the power conferred by or under the Act repealed under the sub section (1) shall continue to bevalid until the Central Government enacts the Act. By order of the Governor of Bihar,
