( e ) "Education ~c;' means the 0rib;a Edueatioo Act, 1969 . O r h a Act 15 of 196t
( d ) "Managing Authority" means the Managing Committee or the Governing , i Body, as the case may be, of an aided educational institution ; ( e ) "Selection Board" means the Selection Board constituted under the Education Act ;
( f ) words and exprasions used but not defined in this Act, shall have the same meaning as respectively assigned to them in the Education Act or in the rules or Regulations framed rhereunder.

(a) graduate teachers, lntennediate and matriculafe teachers, physical education teachers and classical teachers and Hndi teachers of aided schwfs appointed by the managing authorities of buch school< on ad hoc basis on or after the 1st December, 1976 but not later than the 31st December, 1984 ;
( b lecturers of aided colleges appointed by the managing authorities of such colleges on adhoc basis on or after the rst December, 1976 b~:t not later than the 31st December, I984 ; and
{ c ) lecturers appointed validly and lawfully in aided wlIeges t i U the 1st
March, I981 after termination of their ad /toe appointments in Government colleges,
B[who h v e rendered service as such teachers or lecturers for a period of atleast one year without any break or with a break or breaks in one or more aided Schools or Colleges and who were continuing as such teachers or whose services have k n terminated after the 3Ist December, 19851 save for misconduct or, as the case may be, lecturers validly and lawfully, except those whose appointments have been validated by the Orissa Aided Educational Institut~ons [Appointment of Teachers Validation) Act, 1981, shall for all intents and purposes, be decmed tc have been Orissa Act
