AN ACT TO VALIDATE THE APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN
TEACHERS OF AIDED EDUCATII3NAL INSTITUTJONS,
BEING SCHOOLS, IN THC STATE OF OlUSSA BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Twenty-ninth yeor of the Republic of India, as foJ10w~:-
1. ( I ) This Act nlay be called the Orissa Aided shori Educational Institutions ( Appointment of Teachers and
Second Validation ) Act, 1978.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of' the Stntc of I j Orissa.
2. Tn this Act, unless the context otherwi~encfinitians I
requires,-
(a) "Education Act'' rneans the Orissa Educa-
tion Act, 1969 ;
(b) "managiag authority" means the manag-
ingcommitteeor governing body, as the
case may be, of an aided educational
iastitutio~ ;
(c) words and expressions used in this Act, but not deEncd hcrcin, shall have the Sara
meaning as assigned to then1 respectively
under tbe Education Act or under the
Rules and Regulations framed thereunder.

1. Teachers ,who .by .the date of their &appointment possessed the -~~alifications prescd bed under the Edu- ation Act or under .the fcgulatbns made by the Board of Secondary Ed.~catbn oofistituted under the
Orissa Secondary Bducstion Act, 1953, as the casep,ri~~g"ly,
may be.
2. Teachers who were relieved prior :to the I st April, 1975 for undergoing training .and have joined
during the period between Ihe 1st April, 1975 and the 1s t December, 1976 after successful completion ~f training.
3. Teachers who were releived dul'ing the said
period .for undergoing training and :have joined after successfuI completion.of training.
4. T~achers who are not trained but -bavc acci~~ired sufficient experience in teachihg provided
~ e y get themselves trained within such period as the St2tc: Govcsn!~zcnt may h in ;that behalf.
