PORATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1991

further to amend the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Act, 1969.

Preamble. W hereas i't is expedient fu rther to amend¹ th? Guw ahati M unicipal Cojporation Act, 1969, hereinafter referred to- as the principal Act. It is hereby enacted in the Forty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:— short title, 1,(1) This Act may be called the Guwahati commence- Municipal Corporation (Amendment) went. Act, 1991.

(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.

f3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the twenty-sixth day of October, 1990.

Amendment 2. In the principal Act, in Section 425, for 425 of Assam w o r

"eight years" appearing at the end of A ct-i, 1973. second proviso to sub-section (1), the words

"nine years" shall be substituted.
