Act

further to amend the Court Fees Act. 1870 ia its application to Assam ·

Preamble. Whereas it is expedient fu rther to amend the Court- Fees Act, 1870, hereinafcer called the princi- pal Act, in its application to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing.

It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-third Year of the R Lpublic of India as follows:-

Short title, extent

and comaence-

I. ( I) This Act may be called the Court Fees (Assam Amendment) Act, 1!:!72. Act VII of

1870.

(2) It e:x:tends to the whole of Assam.

(3) It shall come into force on sw~h date as the State Government may, by noti- fication in the official Gazette, appoint. An•ensment of 2. In Schedule I to the principal Act,- Schedule I of Act
