THE ASSAM TEA PLANTATIONS EMPLOYEES WELFARE FUND
(AMENDMENT) ACT, 1963.

An Act to amend the Assam Tea Plantations Employees Welfare Fund Act, 1959.
Preamble. Whereas it is expedient to amend the Assam Assam Act Tea Plantations Employees Welfare Fund Act, 1959, XVIof hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;

It is hereby enacted in the Fourteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—

of 1960.
I. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Tea Plantations Employees Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 1963.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once. 2, For sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the principal Act, the following shall be substituted, namely :—
" (2) The term of office of the Members of the Board shall ordinarily be three years commencing lrom the date on which their names are notified in the Offi- cial Gazette:
Provided that the State Government may, if in their opinion, it is necessary to do so, dissolve and reconstitute the Board at any time before the expirv of the three years."
Deletion of 3. Section 13 of the principal Act, shall be deleted,, S rction 13
of Asiam
Act XVI or
1960.
