further to amend the Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968, hereinafter referred to as the Assam
Act, No
XXIV of
principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing; 1968. It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-fifth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
Short title, 1. (1) This Act may be called the Assam Agricultural University extent and (Amendment) Act, 2014,
commencement
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment 2.
of section 19
In the principal Act, in section 19, in sub-section (3), in the proviso, for the figure "65" appearing in between the words "o f' and "years", the figure "70" shall be substituted.
