l:.~xflanatio11.-For the purposes of this section "residence" includes the staff , ,{ quarters and other buildings appurtenant thereto, and the garden thereof and "maintenance" in relation to a residence includes the payment of local · mies and taxes and the proviso of electricity and water.

1. Short title and commencement.-( 1) These rules may ~e called the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Manda} Neta Pratipaksha (Residence, Conveyance and Travelling and \ Daily Allowances) Rules, 1980.

l (2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 19th day of August, 1980. \ 2. Application of rules to the Neta Pratipaksha.-Subject to the provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Manda! Neta Pratipaksha (VC?tari Tatba Bhatta) Adhiniyam, f 1980 {No. 8 of 1980) the Madhya Prade~h Ministers _;(Residences) Rules, 1964, t!Jie _1dadhya Pradet-h Ministers (Purchase and maintenance ,of Conveyances) Rules, 1974 and the Madhya Pradesh Ministers (Travelling and Daily Allowances) Rules, 1972 shall, so far as may be, apply in the case of the . Neta Pratipaksha as they apply in case of a 'Minister.

(VETAN TATHA BHATIA) (SANSHODHAN) ACT, 2002

An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Manda) Neta Pratipa1'Sh (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1980.

Be it enacted by the ChhactisgarhLegislature in the Fifty third year of the Republic of India as follows :-

]. (I) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Manda! Neta Pratipa~sh (Vctan Short tille a11d C.:om- Tatha Bhatta) (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2002 (No. 19 of 2002 J. n11mcen11m1.

(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Gazcue.

2. In sub-section (I) of Section 5 of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Manda! Neta Pratipaksh (Vetan Amendment nf Sec• Tatha Bhana) Adhiniyam, 1980 (hereinafter reforred to Princip~I Ac[) after the words "of a tlon 5 (t;. furnished" the words "office cum" shall be added.

3. Sub-section (4) of Section 5 of the Principal Act shall be omitted. On1L<1Sion of Section S
