(AMENDMENT) ACT, 1987

further to amend the Assam Town and Country Planning Act, 1959-
Preamble. Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Assam Town and Country Planning Act, 1959 (Act II of 1959), hereinafter called the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Thirty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, as follows
Short title, j. (i) This Act may be called the Assam Town commence- and Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 1987.

(3) It shall come into force at once. Amendment 2. In the principal Act, in Section 3, in sub- o f section 3 ' s e c tjo n after c ia u s e (xi), the following new clauses shall be inserted, namely :—
"(xii) Commissioner, Planning and Develop- ment.
(xiii) Commissioner and Special Secretary, Transport.
(xiv) Secretary, Department of Environment."
