further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 (Act VII of 1870) in its application to Assam
Preamble.-Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 {Act VII of 1870), hereinafter called the Prindpal Act, in its application to Assam, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Ninth Yea r of the Republic of India as follows:
l. Short title, extent and commencement.--(i) This Act mav be called the Assam Court-Fees (Second Amer.dmenl \ Act, 1958.
(ii) It extends to the whole of the State of Assam. (iii) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Schedule II, Article ll.-In clause (c) in the second column in Article 11 of Scheduie IJ to the Principal AcL. a full stop shall be inserted after the figure "1939" and the words "or to an appellate authority prescribed under the Assam Sales Tax Act, 1947" following the figure "1939" be deletr.d.
