The Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (Amendment) Act, 2005

Preamble Short title, extent and commence- ment

fu rth e r to am end the G uw ahati M etropo litan Development Authority Act, 1985.
Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 1985, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the manner hereinafter appearing ;
It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-sixth Year of Republic of India as follows :-
1, (1) This Act may be called the G uw ahati M etropo litan D evelopm ent A u tho rity (Amendment) Act, 2005.
(2) It shall have the like extent as the principal Act.
(3) It shall come into force at once.
Assam Act No. XX of 1987. Amendment of 2. In the principal Act, in section 6, in sub-section (2),
section 6. in clause (d), the punctuation mark occurring at the end, shall be omitted and thereafter the following shall be inserted, namely :-
