ANACT
Further to amend the Gujarat Money-Lenders Act, 2011.
It is hereby enacted in the Sixty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Amendment of section 17 of
Guj.14 of 2011.
1. (1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Money-Lenders (Amendment) Act, 2018. (2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 13thNovember, 2017. 2. In the Gujarat Money-Lenders Act, 2011 (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in section 17, in sub-section (2), for the words "village panchayat", the words "Gram Sabha" shall be substituted.

Repeal and savings.
3. 0) The Gujarat Money-Lenders (Amendment) Ordinance, 2017 is hereby repealed. (2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
