An Act to repeal the Madras Medtum Cotton Mtll·Cloth (Sales Tax) Act 1954.
Preamble.-WHEREAS it is cons1dered necessary to repeal the Madras Medmm Cotton Mill Cloth (Sales Tax) Act, 1954;
Be It enacted in the Eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1· Short tttle and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Madras Medium Cotton Mill Cloth (Sales Tax) Repeal Act, 1957 ·
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th day of May, 1957.
2· Repeal·-The Madras Medium Cotton Mill Cloth (Sales Tax) Act, 1954 (Madras Act ...Y:LI of 1954) as in force in the Malabar district I·eferred to m sub-section (2) of section 5 of the States Reorgamsation Act, 1956 (Central Act 37 of 1'956), 1s hereby repealed .
