An Act To amend the Uttar Pradesh Legislature (Emoluments and Pension of Member's) Act, 1980 in its applicability to Uttaranchal
It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-Second Year of the Republic of India as follows-
* As passed by Uttaranchal Legislature Assembly and assented 10 by the Governor on May 17, 2001.
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Legislature (Emoluments and Pension) Act, 1980 (Uttaranchal Amendment) Act, 2001.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may by notification appoint in this behalf.
2. Wherever in Principal Act-
(1) "or council" occur it be deemed committed.
(2) The word "Uttaranchal" is substituted for the words "Uttar Pradesh".
(3) The word "Dehradun or wherever the Capital exists" are substituted for the words "Lucknow".
3. Amendment of section 5(1).- In sub-section (1) of section 5. The words hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act The word "Expenses of diesel equivalent to the amount of Railway coupon for Rupees Sixty Thousand and the balance Thirty Three Thousand as Railway coupon" are substituted for the words "Ninety Three Thousand".
4. Amendment of section 15.- (1) In sub-section (2) and (3) of section 16 of the Principal Act words "Seven Thousand Five Hundred" are ??? for words "Three ??? following proviso is added to-
(2) Sub-section (2) of section 16 of the Principal Act-
Provided that when official accommodation is allotted to a member, the amount shall not be payable.
