An Act to amend of Usurious Loans Act, 1918 (Central Act No. 10 of 1918) in it application to the 1[State] of Himachal Pradesh.
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Twentieth Year of the Republic of India as follows.-

1. Short title and extent.- (1) This Act may be called the Usurious Loans (Himachal Pradesh Amendment) Act, 1969.
(2) It shall extend to the whole of Himachal Pradesh.
2. Amendment of section 2.- In clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 2 of the Usurious Loans Act, 1918 (10 of 1918) in its application to Himachal Pradesh, the following words shall be inserted between the words "loans made" and the words "after the commencement of this Act", namely:-
"whether before or"
3. Repeal and savings.- The Usurious Loans (East Punjab Amendment) Act, 1948 (4 of 1948), as in force in the areas added to Himachal Pradesh under section 5 of the Punjab Re-organisation Act, 1966, is hereby repealed:
Provided that anything done or any action taken under the said Act shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act.
