An Act further to Amend the Telugu University Act, 1985.
Be it by the Legislation Assembly of the State of Andhra Pradesh is the Forty-seventh Year of the Republic of India as follow:-

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Telugu University (Amendment) Act, 1996.
2. Amendment of section 1.- In the Telugu University Act, 1985 (Act 27 of 1985) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) in section 1, in sub-section (1), for the expression "Telugu University Act, 1985", the expression "Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University Act, 1985" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 2.- In section 2 of the principal Act, in clause (i), for the words "Telugu University", the words "Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of section 3.- In section 3 of the principal Act, in sub-section (1) for the words "Telugu University" the words "Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University" shall be substituted.
