Sikkim Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Amendment Act, 2001*

An Act further to amend the Sikkim ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Act, 1977.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Sikkim in the Fifty-Second Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Sikkim Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Amendment Act, 2001.
(2) it Shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2001.
2. Amendment of Section 3.- In the Sikkim Ministers, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly (Salaries and Allowances) Act, 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in Section 3, in sub-section (3),
(i) in clause (a), for the words "four thousand", the word "eight thousand" shall be substituted;
(ii) in clause (b), for the words "fifteen hundred", the word "three thousand" shall be substituted; and
(iii) in clause (c) for the words "two thousand" the words four thousand shall be substituted. Amendment of schedule 3. In the principal Act for the existing schedule the following schedule shall be substituted namely:-
