*Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation (Second Amendment) Act, 1993**

An Act further to Amend the Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1975.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follow:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation (Second Amendment) Act, 1993 (Orissa Act 39 of 1975).
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into fores on the 21st day of September, 1993.
2. Amendment of Section 4.- In the Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1975 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in Section-4,
(a) in the first proviso to sub-section (2), for the words "two hundred rupees" the word "five hundred rupees" shall be substituted; and
(b) in sub-section (3),-
(i) for the words "transport vehicle" occurring in the opening portion, the word "vehicle" shall be substituted; and
(ii) the provisos thereto shall be omitted.
3. Repeal and Savings.- (1) The Orissa Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Ordinance, 1993 (Orissa Ordinance No. of 1993) hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, any hang done or any action take under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
