*Orissa Legislative Assembly Members' Salary, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Act, 1995**

An act further to amend the Orissa legislative Assembly Members' Salary, Allowances and Pension Act, 1954.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa in the Forty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Legislative Assembly Members' Salary, Allowances and Pension (Amendment) Act, 1995,
(2) It shall come into force on the 1st day of August, 1995.
2. Amendment of section 3.- In the Orissa Legislative Assembly Members Salary, Allowances and Pension Act, 1954 hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, in the third proviso to section 3, for the words "four hundred fifty rupees", the words "six hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 4.- In section 4 of the principal Act,-
(i) in clause (b), for the words "seventy-five rupees", the words "one hundred and fifty rupees", shall be substituted; and
(ii) in clause (d), for the words "three hundred and "fifty rupees", the words "seven hundred and fifty rupees" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of section 4-A.- In the principal Act, for section 4-A, the following section shall be substituted, namely:-
"4-A. There shall be paid to each Member a sum of rupees two thousand per mensem to defray the cost of travelling which is not connected with the business of the Assembly or a Committee thereof or a Committee or Body constituted by the State or Central Government by a Resolution or an order."
5. Amendment of section 4-AA.- In the principal Act, in section 4-A A, for the words "eighteen thousand rupee's", the words "thirty-five thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
