*Orissa Grama Panchayats (Postponement of Election) Second Amendment Act, 1992**

An Act further to Amend the Orissa Grama Pahchayats Postponement of Election Act, 1990.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Orissa the Forty-third Year of the Republic of India as follow:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Orissa Grama Pnochayau (Postponement of Election) Second Amendment Act, 1992.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 24th day of June, 1992.
2. Amendment of section 3.- In section 3 of the Orissa Grama Panchayats (Postponement of Election) Act, 1990 (Orissa Act 7 of 1990) (hereinafter inferred to as the principal Act), in clause (a) of sub-section (1), for the figures, letters and word "30th June, 1992", the figures, letters and word "31st December, 1992" shall be substituted.
3. Repeal and saving.- (1) The Orissa Grama Panchayats (Postponement of Election) Amendment Ordinance, 1992 (Orissa Ordinance No. 6 of 1992) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
