An Act further to attend the North-East Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj Regulation, 1967 (3 of 1967).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Aruachal Pradesh in the Forty-third Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1 Received the assent of the Governor on 23-4-92.
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the North-East Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1992.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 2.- In section 2 of the North-East Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj Regulation, 1967, for clause (vii), the following ??? shall be substituted, namely:-
(vii) ‘Gram Panchayat’ means a body of persons elected by secret ballot by the residents of any village as the Deputy Commissioner may specify in this behalf in the prescribed manner."
