An Act to amend the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Member's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1964.
Preamble.
Whereas, it is expedient to amend the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Member's Salaries and Allowances Act, 1964 (Nagaland Act 6 of 1964) in the manner hereinafter appearing;
It is hereby enacted in the Fifteenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1 Received the assent of the Governor on the 14th September, 1964.
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries and Allowances (Amendment) Act, 1964.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 11th February, 1964.
2. Amendment of Section 4 of Nagaland Act 6 of 1964.- In Section 4 of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Members' Salaries and Allowances Act, 1964 (Nagaland Act 6 of 1964).
(i) in clause (i) after the word "places" the words "within the State of Nagaland" shall be inserted and the Iasi word "and" shall be deleted;
(ii) after clause (i) the fallowing new clause shall be inserted-
(iii)(ia) Daily allowance at the rate of rupees twenty five per day when his at tendance outside the State of Nagaland is required in connection with his duties as a member, subject to any lower rate with respect to any specified place as may be prescribed by rules, and
