An Act to amend the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Government Chief Whip and the Deputy Government Chief Whip Act, 1999 (Act no. 8 of 1999).
Be it enacted by the Mizoram Legislative Assembly in the Fifty fifth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Government Chief Whip and the Deputy Government Chief Whip (Second Amendment) Act, 2005.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of publication in the Mizoram Gazette.
2. Insertion of new proviso Section 6.- A new proviso shall be added to Section 6 of the under Mizoram Salaries and Allowances of the Government Chief Whip and the Deputy Government Chief Whip Act, 1999 (Act no. 8 of 1999) namely:
"Provided that the Government Chief Whip and the Deputy Government Chief Whip who are not provided with Government Quarter/Bungalow shall be entitled to receive such sum of rupees as may be fixed by the Government from time to time for furnishing their residences".
