Indian Forest (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1976*

An Act further to amend the Indian Forest Act, 1927 in its application to the State of Gujarat.
It is hereby enacted in the Twenty-seventh Year of the Republic of India a follows:-
* Received the Assent of the Governor on the 12th March, 1976 is hereby published for general information.
1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Indian Forest (Gujarat Amendment) Act, 1976.
2. Amendment of section 2 of Act XVI of 1927.- In the Indian Forest Act, 1927 (XVI of 1927), in its application to the State of Gujarat (hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act"), in section 2, in sub-clause (a) of clause (4), for the words "rauwolfia serpentina" the words "rauwolfia serpentina, kadaya gum" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of section 68 of Act XVI of 1927.- In the principal Act, in section 68, in sub-section (3),-
(1) the words "and is in receipt of a monthly salary amounting to at least one hundred rupees," shall be deleted;
(2) for the words "five hundred rupees" the words "two thousand rupees" shall be substituted.
