Himachal Pradesh University of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry (Amendment) Act, 1994*

An Act amend the Himchal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986 (Act No. 4 of 1987).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Forty-fifth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Passed in Hindi by the H.P. Vidhan Sabha. For statement of objects and Reasons see R.H.P. Extra., dated 15-3-1994, P. 250 and 292.

1. Short title, extent and commencement.- The Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry (Amendment) Act, 1994.
(2) It shall and shall be deemed to have come into force on the 5th day of February, 1994.
2. Amendment of section 24.- In sub-section, (3) of section 24 of the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986 (Act No. 4 of 1987) for the words "five years", wherever occur, the words "three years" shall be substituted.
3. Repeal and Savings.- (1) The Hmachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry (Amendment) Ordinance, 1994 (Ordinance 1 of 1994) is hereby repealed.
(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the Principal Act, as amended by the Ordinance repealed under sub-section (1), shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the corresponding provisions of this Act, as if this Act had come into force on the day on which such thing was done or action was taken.
