An Act further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986 (Act No. 4 of 1987).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Passed in Hindi by the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. For Statement of Objects and Reasons see R.H.P. Extra., dated 4.4.2001, P. 9 & 12.

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry (Amendment) Act, 2001.
2. Amendment of Preamble.- In preamble of the Himachal Pradesh Universities of Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry Act, 1986 (4 of 1987) hereinafter referred to as the principal Act, for the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Krishi Vishvavidyalaya", the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya" shall be substituted.
3. Amendment of sections 2, 11, 12, 14, 19, 35 and 51.- In sections 2, 11, 12, 14, 19, 35 and 51 of me principal Act, for the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Krishi Vishvavidyalaya" where-ever these occur, the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya" shall be substituted.
4. Amendment of Schedule.- In SCHEDULE appended to the principal Act, against Sr. No. 1 under the heading "Name of the University", for the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Krishii Vishvavidyalaya", the words "Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya" shall be substituted.
