An Act further to amend the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Act, 1971 (Act No. 7 of 1971).
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh in the Forty-eighth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Passed in Hindi by the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. For Statement of Objects and Reasons see R.H.P. Extra., dated 10.4.1997 pages 1266 and 1268.

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Amendment Act, 1997.
2. Retrospective effect to amendments in section 3.- Insertion of clause (j-a) and amendment of clause (m) made in section 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Ad, 1971 (7 of 1971) vide the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Members (Removal of Disqualifications) Amendment Act, 1996 (13 of 1996), shall be and ???
