Guru Jambheshwar University Hisar (Amendment) Act, 2003*

An Act further to amend Guru Jambheshwar University Hisar Act, 1995
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Fifty-fourth Year of me Republic of Indians follows:-
* [Received the assent of the Governor on 1st April, 2003 and published in the "Haryana Government Gazette", Extraordinary, No. Leg. 11/2003, dated 2nd April, 2003].
1. Short title.- This Act may be called Guru Jambheshwar University Hisar (Amendment) Act, 2003.
2. Amendment of section 9 of Haryana Act 17 of 1995.- Clause (iia) of section 9 of Guru Jambheshwar University Hisar Act, 1995 (hereinafter called the principal Act), shall be omitted.
3. Amendment of section 11 of Haryana Act 17 of 1995.- For sub-section (3) of section 11 of the principal Act, the following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-
"(3) If the Vice-Chancellor is unable to perform his duties owing to his temporary incapacity on account of illness or any other reason, or the office of the Vice-Chancellor falls vacant due to death, resignation or otherwise, the Chancellor may made arrangements for the performance of duties of the Vice-Chancellor until the existing Vice-Chancellor is able to resume his office or until a regular Vice-Chancellor is appointed, as the case may be.".
4. Omission of section 11-A of Haryana Act 17 of 1995.- Section 11-A of the principal Act shall be omitted.
