Legislative Assembly Members' Pension (Repeal) Act, 2001

GUJARAT ACT 024 OF 2001

01 September, 2001

An Act to repeal the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Members' Pension Act, 1984.

It is hereby enacted in the Fifty-second Year of the Republic of India as follows:

Section 1. Short title and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Members' Pension (Repeal) Act, 2001.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 8th August, 1989.

Section 2. Repeal and savings

(1) The Gujarat Legislative Assembly Members' Pension Act, 18 of 1984 shall stand repealed.

(2) The repeal of the said Act shall not affect any payment already made by the State Government under the said Act in pursuance of any direction, judgement or order of the court.
