An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University Act, 2004 (No. 25 of 2004).
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Sixtieth Year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
1. Short title, extent and commencement.- (1). This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (Amendment) Act, 2009.
(2) It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.
(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Definition.- In this Act, unless the context other wise requires-
"Principal Act" means the "Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University Act, 2004 (No. 25 of 2004)."
3. Amendment of Section 15.- In Section 15 of the Principal Act, after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be added namely:-
"Provided further that the Kulpati so appointed under this section shall not hold office after attaining the age of 70 (Seventy) years."
