Chhattisgarh act 006 of 2003 : Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2003

Preamble

An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 (No. 23 of 1956).

Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh legislature in the Fifty-fourth year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title and commencement

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Adhiniyam, 2003 (No. 6 of 2003).

(2) It shall come into force from date its notification in the official Gazette.

Section 2. Amendment of Section 19

2. Amendment of Section 19.- In sub-section (1) and (2) of Section 19 of Chhattisgarh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956 (No. 23 of 1956) hereinafter called Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.

Section 3. Amendment of Section 23

3. Amendment of Section 23.- In Sub-section (1), (2) and (3) of Section 23 of the Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.

Section 4. Amendment of Section 24

4. Amendment of Section 24.- In sub-section (1) and (2) of Section 24 of the Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" the words "Director Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.

Section 5. Amendment of Section 417-A

5. Amendment of Section 417-A.- In sub-section (1) of section 417-A of the Principal Act, for words "Divisional Commissioner" shall be omitted and for wroris "Director, Urban Administration" the words "Director, Urban Planning and Development" shall be substituted.
