An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Adhyaksha Tatha Upadhyaksha (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1972, The Chhattisgarh Vidhan Manda) Neta Pratipaksha (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1980.
Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislative in the Fifty-Fifth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Adhyaksha Tatha Upadhyaksha, Neta Pratipaksha Vetan Bhatta Vidhi Sanshodhan Adhiniyam, 2004.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Gazelle.
Part-I Amendment to the Chhattisgarh Adhyaksha Tatha Upadhyaksha (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972).
2. Amendment of Section 3.- In Section 3 of the Chhattisgarh Adhyaksha Tatha Upadhyaksha (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972),-
(i) In sub-section (2) for the words "Three Thousand" the words "Five Thousand" shall be substituted, and
(ii) In sub-section (3) for the words "Six Hundred" the words "Seven Hundred Sixty Seven" and for the words "Five Hundred" the words "Seven Hundred Fifty" shall be substituted.
Part-II Amendment to the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Mandal Neta Pratipaksha (Velan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1980 (No. 8 of 1980).
3. Amendment of Section 4.- In Section 4 of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Mandai Neta Pratipaksha (Vetan Tatha Bhatta) Adhiniyam, 1980,-
(i) In sub-section (2) for the words "Three Thousand" the words "Five Thousand" shall be substituted, and
(ii) In sub-section (3) for the words "Six Hundred" the words "Seven Hundred Sixty Seven" shall be substituted.
