WEST BENGAL ACT 018 OF 1856

An Act relating to the administration of the public revenues in the Town of Calcutta.

Whereas it is expedient that the Collector of Calcutta2[* * *] should have power to employ any Deputy Collector subordinate to him, in the performance of any part of the duties of his office; it is enacted as follows:

Section 3. Collector may entrust any pan of his duties to his Deputy

It shall be lawful for the Collector of Calcutta to employ any Deputy Collector subordinate to him in the preformance of any part of the duties of his office under 5[* * *] Act XXIII of 18806; and all Rules, Regulations and Acts relating to the office of Deputy Collector shall be of the same force within the town of Calcutta as in other parts of the territories subject to the Presidency of Fort William in Bengal.

1 Short Title. This short title was given by the Amending Act, 1903 (1 of 1903).

2 The words should have charge of the collection of the stamp-duly within the town of Calcutta, and that he which were repealed by the Amending Act, 1891 (XII of 1891) are omitted.
