Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre (Amendment) Act, 2012
AN
ACT
To amend the Bihar State Public Library and Information centre Act, 2008 Be it enacted by the legislature of Bihar in the Sixty third year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title, extent and commencement.— (1) This Act may be called the Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre (Amendment) Act, 2012
(2) It shall extend to whole of the state of Bihar.
(3) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
2. Amendment of Section-4 of the Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Act, 2008 (Bihar Act 17 of 2008).— In section- 4 of The Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Act, 2008 (Bihar Act 17 of 2008) the words "and Vice Chairman" shall be deleted.

3. Addition of a new section - 4 A in The Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Act , 2008 (Bihar Act 17 of 2008).— After section-4 of The Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Act, 2008 (Bihar Act 17 of 2008), the following new section- 4A shall be added:
"4 A - The post of Chairman of The Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Authority shall be honorary but he will be entitle for all the facilities decided by the State Government."
4. Amendment of the section-5 of The Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Act, 2008 (Bihar Act 17 of 2008).—In Section-5 of The Bihar State Public Library and Information Centre Act, 2008 (Bihar Act 17 of 2008) the words "and Vice- Chairman"
shall be deleted.
