THE ASSAM COURT-FEES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1960

further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870 with reference to the sale of Court-fees in Assam.
Preamble Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Court-Fees Act, 1870, in its application to Assam, Act VII of in the manner hereinafter appearing; • 1870.
It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
Short title, extent and commence ment.
Act of
1. (t) This Act may be called the Assam Court- Fees (Amendment) Act, 1960.
(it) It extends to the whole of Assam. (hi) It shall come into force with effect from
the 1st April, 1960.
2. In Article I of Schedule II of the Court-Fees Amendment of Schedule Act, 1870— II, Article I of VII 1870.
(1) in the Second Column of Clause (a) after the words “ for any construction” the follow ing words shall be inserted, namely:—
“ or any other purpose” ; and
(2) after Clause (e) the following new Clause in the Second Column and entry in the Third Column shall be added, namely :—
“ ( / ) When presented to an Appropriate Re venue Authority for demarcation of land—

does not exceed Five bighas. (h) for each subsequent area of TOO”
Five bighas or part thereof.
