Preamble

An Act further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Act, 1980 (No. 3 of 1980)

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in the Thirly-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

Section 1. Short title

1. Short title.- This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Amendment Act, 1988.

Section 2. Insertion of sub-section (3) in section 5

2. Insertion of sub-section (3) in section 5.- In the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation or Districts) Act, 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), after sub-section (2) of section 5, the following sub-section shall be inserted namely:-

"(3) On and from the appointed day this Act comes into force, the existing Tuting Sub-division shall be transferred from the West Siang District and thenceforth be formed part of East Siang District and areas and boundaries specified in sub-section (2) of Section 5 and the Schedule III respectively of the principal Act shall deem to be modified accordingly.
