An Act further to amend the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Act, 1980 (No. 3 of 1980)
Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts (Amendment) Act, 2000.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Section 4.- (1) In sub-section (2) of section 4 of the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) Act, 1980 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), (or the words, figure and bracket "sub-section (1) and (3) above," the words, figures and brackets "sub-section (1), (3) and (4) of this section" shall be substituted.
(2) After sub-section (3) of section 4 of the principal Act, the following sub-section shall be inserted namely:
"(4) On and from the appointed day the Arunachal Pradesh (Re-Organisation of Districts) (Amendment) Act, 2000 comes into force, so much of the areas comprising the following administrative units under the Lower Subansiri District, namely:-
1. Koloriang
2. Damin
3. Sarli
4. Sangram
5. Persiparlo
6. Nyapin
7. Palin
8. Chambang
9. Tali
10. Lending Koling
11. Yangte
shall be constituted as a separate administrative unit and be known by the name of KURUNG KUMEY DISTRICT."
